Ryan Companies, based in Minneapolis, seeks a Senior Development Accountant to lead development accounting, cash-flow management and GAAP reporting across multiple projects. You will coordinate with executives, lenders and partners and support closing activities, audits, and financial projections.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2–5 years of accounting experience, with CPA preferred, in a fast-paced real estate development environment.

• 2–5 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred.
• Strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Develop, understand, and document knowledge of the real estate development cycle.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including executive leadership, investment partners and lenders.
• Prepare requisitions and invoices to fund draw requests from lending institutions.
• Collaborate with Legal and Capital Markets on land closings, project financing closings, JV closings, and asset sale closings.
• Oversee internal cash-flow and GAAP financial projections for development pursuits, asset sales, and acquisitions.
• Maintain project-specific GAAP financial statements monthly and quarterly.
• Prepare tax schedules for JV development projects.
• Apply accounting principles for joint venture partnerships and consolidation of Ryan-developed projects.
• Prepare ad hoc management reports for owners, lenders, and regional officers.
• Prepare schedules to support the annual external audit.
