Confidential Search in Columbia, Maryland is seeking a Senior Development Accountant - Property Management to work onsite. You will collaborate with the Senior Development Portfolio Controller to manage fixed assets, TI and CAPEX accounting and related processes.

Required are a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA license, with GAAP knowledge and strong analytical ability. Salary ranges from $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year, with full benefits and standard Monday–Friday

• Certification(s) - Active CPA license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as key point of contact for Fixed Assets, Tenant Improvement, Capital Expenditure, Third Party and/or Development accounting.
• Review deals to ascertain the GAAP accounting conclusion supported by facts.
• Apply knowledge of GAAP and business processes to accounting conclusions.

Position Title: Senior Development Accountant - Property Management

Position Summary

Works alongside of Senior Development Portfolio Controller or Development Manager to serve as key point of contact for one or more team processes to include Fixed Assets, Tenant Improvement, Capital Expenditure, Third Party and/or Development accounting serving as trusted resource for all accounting related issues. Rely on knowledge of GAAP as well as the business, processes and systems to review each deal to ascertain the true essence underlying the financial transaction. Requires ability to analyze transactions, independently seek out relevant information and apply what has been learned to arrive at GAAP accounting conclusion supported by key set of facts.
