Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate to teach through working code and storytelling. You will partner with Developer Relations, Product, Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Sales, and Marketing to help developers succeed with Temporal.

You’ll design exercise-first courses and labs, produce video education content, and build durable AI/agent materials that showcase how Temporal underpins reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Production-quality, real working examples in at least one of Temporal's primary SDK languages.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals (state management, fault tolerance, concurrency, event-driven architectures).
• Experience creating high-quality technical education content for developer audiences.
• Clear, pragmatic communication for technical and mixed audiences.
• Ability to own projects and iterate quickly with minimal direction.
• Product/ownership mindset across the learner journey and platform.
• Comfort with cross-functional collaboration (Product, Eng, Marketing, Solutions Architecture).
• Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences, events, trainings.

Responsibilities

• Shape the education platform and learning experience direction.
• Design and build exercise-first courses, tutorials, and labs with hands-on examples.
• Produce video education content, including long-form and short-form formats.
• Create AI and agent content with durable examples.
• Design learning experiences reflecting modern developer workflows (AI-assisted, hybrid).
• Maintain alignment of materials with product capabilities and architecture patterns.
• Build and maintain reference implementations, labs, and best-practice examples for Temporal SDKs.
• Represent education in person at conferences and events; run workshops and talks.
• Collaborate with enterprise-facing teams to produce scalable educational assets.
