Job Summary

SWIFT VA is seeking a Senior Dev/Systems Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions. This role involves full lifecycle development, ensuring high-performance and secure applications within a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex software applications using Java Enterprise Edition, Spring Boot, and JavaScript.
• Integrate various systems and services using RESTful APIs and Open API specifications.
• Develop and maintain web services and web technologies, including Java Servlets.
• Utilize Bitbucket and Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Manage build processes with Maven and ensure efficient deployment strategies.
• Ensure the security of applications through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) implementation and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle, including code reviews and testing.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience as a Software Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition, Spring Boot, and JavaScript.
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and Open API.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $101,303.00 USD Annual to $188,135.00 Annual USD. Salary may vary depending on job‑related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance.
