Responsibilities

• Resolve moderately complex problem‑management issues by investigating and implementing solutions for systems and operations, including installations, setups, error messages, online transactions, and system/application status.
• Assist in supporting audit processes, ensuring all audit procedures are followed and adhered to, with a goal of zero audit findings.
• Leverage automation and scripting (particularly Python) to identify and automate repetitive tasks, enhancing operational efficiency.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in CI/CD tools, UNIX/Linux operating systems, Ansible and Playbooks, ServiceNow, and familiarity with databases and message‑based software systems.
• Document deployment steps, validate in test environments, and prepare solutions for production deployments.
• Collaborate with Application Development teams to build application resiliency, implement service‑level objectives, and establish end‑to‑end observability.
• Troubleshoot and restore system processing during incidents and problems, participating in on‑call rotation as needed to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience contributing to software development teams.
• Experience working in a Linux environment and proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with source code repositories such as GitHub and Bitbucket.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and KVM.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions to complex problems.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position in Virginia is USD 101,303.00 – 188,135.00 per year. Compensation packages include a competitive base salary, bonus opportunities contingent on performance, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance at no cost to employees and their families, and a retirement plan with 401(k) matching.
