Apple Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Developer Experience Engineer to own and evolve the developer tooling, workflows, and delivery practices used by our creative engineering teams.

You will partner with multiple engineering groups to identify high-impact problems, implement tooling changes, and drive adoption of AI-assisted workflows that accelerate development and validation cycles, reporting on engineering health.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience with Xcode and iOS development.
Experience building internal or customer-facing tools that solve real problems.
Experience with build systems, CI, or automated test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Build, own, and improve the tools our engineers use every day, with their direct input and a clear read on whether changes made their work better.
Partner with engineering teams to shape what happens around the code: ownership and review practices, validation and verification, and the workflows that hold them together.
Develop instrumentation and reporting that surfaces engineering health, failure trends, and informs team decision-making.
Identify and drive adoption of AI-assisted and agentic workflows that accelerate development and validation cycles.
