Daikin Applied seeks a Sr. Development Engineer – Heat Exchangers to lead electro-mechanical product development for commercial HVAC equipment.
You will coordinate cross-functional teams to drive new product milestones, ensure performance, reliability, and certification, and own subsystem design decisions. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Engineering, 4+ years of relevant experience, and hands-on testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Four years of relevant experience
- Hands-on testing of electro-mechanical equipment
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively
- Experience with PLM and cross-functional collaboration
- Knowledge of NPD processes and DOE/DFMEA/DVP&R
Responsibilities
- Develop electro-mechanical products of significant complexity to meet quality, cost, and schedule goals
- Develop test plans and test components, subsystems, and total systems
- Collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, sales and supply chain
- Lead phase-gate process and design maturity milestones
- Drive innovation around tools and product design
- Provide technical ownership of subsystem or system designs
