Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, seeks a Senior Development Engineer to lead the creation of next‑generation commercial HVAC products for data center customers. You’ll own major systems and guide NPD from concept through certification and production launch.

You will collaborate with Mechanical, Controls, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to deliver reliable, cost‑effective solutions and mentor engineers along the way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience testing electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop electro-mechanical products of significant complexity, supporting program quality, cost, and schedule.
• Develop test plans and perform testing of components, sub-systems, and total systems.
• Work cross-functionally with design, test, manufacturing, sales, and supply chain to ensure product design meets business needs.
• Drive the execution of the new product development phase-gate process, demonstrating design maturity.
• Have technical ownership of sub-system or system designs.
• Act as technical lead for programs.
• Drive innovation around tools and product design.
