Job summary

GEO Secured Services, a division of The GEO Group, seeks a Senior Transportation Officer to lead detainee transport under high‑risk federal contracts. A CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement and firearms permit are required.

This role demands strong leadership, strict safety adherence, and the ability to work overtime and travel. You will manage vehicle safety, DOT compliance, and reporting while supporting management in operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; state requirements.
• CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement required.
• State Firearms License and State Security Guard License.
• Completion of approved corrections/law enforcement/military training.
• Two years driving experience in transportation.
• Ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
• Must pass DOT drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Lead on high-risk transportation contracts; develop solutions.
• Review vehicle inspection reports and summarize for management.
• Ensure permits and licenses for all vehicles are in order.
• Verify safety equipment before trips and report issues.
• Track DOT HOS on Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
• Assist with interviewing Transport Officers when required.
• Process paperwork and reports per policies and procedures.
• Ensure missions meet safety measures (PBNDS/FBNDS).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
