Job summary

GEO Secured Services in the United States is seeking a Senior Transportation Officer to lead high-risk detainee transport operations. You will hold a CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement and ensure safe, compliant transport under federal contracts.

You will review vehicle reports, verify licenses, track DOT logs, and support management with problem solving during missions. Strong leadership and readiness for travel are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification; state employment prerequisites.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Two years of driving experience in a transportation capacity.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Must possess a State Firearms License.
• Must possess a State Security Guard License.
• Must have completed approved training in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• Certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement and clean driving record.
• Passing a DOT drug and alcohol test.
• Ability to work overtime frequently and travel extended periods.
• Ability to manage stress and work long shifts up to 16 hours.
• Must pass background investigation.
• Proficient with computers and department-standard software.

Responsibilities

• Assist management when unique or unexpected problems arise during detainee transport.
• Review vehicle inspection reports and summarize findings for management.
• Ensure all permits and licenses for assigned vehicles are valid.
• Verify safety equipment before trips; notify management of issues.
• Track DOT Hours of Service on Electronic Logging Devices.
• Assist with interviewing and screening Transport Officers.
• Review paperwork and reports and ensure timely submission.
• Ensure missions meet safety measures per PBNDS/FBNDS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
