Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is hiring a Senior Transportation Officer to lead transport operations under the Transportation Manager for high‑risk contracts. You must hold a CDL Class B with a passenger endorsement and ensure detainee safety and vehicle readiness.

You will review reports, monitor DOT HOS, assist with staff screening, and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations while supporting management in problem-solving during shifts.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement required.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage stressful situations.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver safety practices.
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours as needed.
• Proficiency with basic computer software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead worker under Transportation Manager in high-risk operations and federal contracts.
• Ensure detainee transport is secure and compliant with safety standards.
• Maintain vehicles and verify safety equipment before trips.
• Review vehicle inspection reports and summarize findings for management.
• Track DOT Hours of Service using Electronic Logging Devices.
• Assist with interviewing and screening Transport Officers when required.
• Prepare and submit accurate paperwork to Transportation management.
• Ensure operational adherence to safety measures and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
