Job summary

Ampcus, Inc. is seeking a Senior Desktop Support Technician to provide enterprise desktop support, hardware and software troubleshooting, workstation deployments, and end-user assistance in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft desktop support and customer service skills.

This 100% onsite role requires hands-on hardware knowledge, Windows 11 or later expertise, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure reliable desktop operations while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience providing enterprise desktop support for Windows environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and 365.
• Hands-on hardware, BIOS and driver knowledge.
• Experience with laptop refreshes and workstation deployments.
• Proficient with SCCM/SMS and remote support tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to collaborate with IT teams and learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and laptop end-user support.
• Install and configure Windows workstations.
• Perform laptop refurbishments and deployments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, BIOS, drivers and peripherals.
• Provide remote support using enterprise tools.
• Configure Microsoft Office, Outlook and 365 apps.
• Diagnose desktop, network and application issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure reliable desktop operations.
• Learn and support new technologies as required.
