Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Desktop team in San Mateo, CA to own the Windows and macOS foundation of Roblox sessions on PC and Mac. You will lead complex, high-impact client work, delivering a fast, reliable user experience at scale.

As a senior engineer, you will set technical standards, mentor teammates, and partner with product, design, and platform teams to ship polished features that run across millions of devices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping client software, with deep C++ expertise.
• Experience with Windows or macOS applications.
• Debugging and profiling across client stack.

Responsibilities

• Shape & improve the Windows and macOS experience for millions of players.
• Own major Windows and macOS initiatives end-to-end from idea to shipped feature.
• Rebuild app components: launch, rendering, and OS integration.
• Set technical standards through code reviews, mentorship, and hands-on coding.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data science to translate ideas into engineering plans.
• Work with Microsoft and Apple counterparts to ensure feature ubiquity and excellence.
