Job summary

Allied Public Adjusters (APA) is expanding and seeking an Executive Desk Public Adjuster. The role leads day-to-day management of shared large-loss caseload, serving as the primary desk contact with carriers, clients, and vendors.

The position emphasizes independent judgment, professional communication, and detailed documentation to drive claims forward with minimal field work. Remote opportunity within the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of property claims experience.
• Experience handling large-loss, commercial, or complex claims.
• Strong knowledge of coverage, claim planning, and negotiations.
• Proven ability to communicate with carriers by phone, email, and formal letters.
• Proficiency in Xactimate (building, revising, and supplements).
• Active State Public Adjuster License (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Executive Public Adjuster’s claims counterpart, independently managing the shared large-loss caseload.
• Partner with the Executive Public Adjuster to develop claim approach, coverage analysis, and documentation review.
• Execute the established approach from the desk through resolution while maintaining high documentation standards.
• Serve as the primary contact with carrier, client, and vendors on shared claims via phone, email, and letters.
• Draft and send position letters, demand letters, and proofs of loss packages.
• Negotiate with carrier adjusters within established authority and escalate when needed.
• Drive carrier accountability by tracking requests, meeting deadlines, and scheduling re-inspections.
• Prepare, submit, and track supplements; keep Xactimate estimates current as scope develops.
• Analyze policy coverage to identify issues, scope gaps, and opportunities; propose next steps to the Executive Public Adjuster.
• Keep the Executive Public Adjuster informed through regular claim reviews.
• Track policy and claim deadlines and act well in advance.
• Own file discipline: notes, hygiene, and audit-ready documentation.
• Maintain timely client communication and expectations.
• Coordinate with legal, estimating, and leadership as needed to resolve claims.
• Follow internal processes, documentation standards, timelines & compliance.
• Attend inspections, re-inspections, and site meetings as needed.
• Ability to drive regularly to office and client sites.
