Job summary

Target is hiring a Senior Designer for Store Design - Architecture in Minneapolis. The role blends design with technical execution to create buildable, brand-aligned store environments.

You’ll own projects and collaborate across architecture, engineering, and store planning to deliver cohesive outcomes. You will translate brand strategy into site-specific solutions, manage elevations and submittals, and guide consultants while balancing cost and constructability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• 4+ years of relevant experience in architecture or retail design.
• Ability to translate design concepts into site-specific architectural solutions.
• Experience producing and/or reviewing construction documentation with consultants.

Responsibilities

• Translate brand and briefs into site-specific architectural solutions with a strong point of view.
• Develop elevations, site adaptations, and submittal packages for local requirements.
• Advocate for design intent with municipalities, developers, and internal partners.
• Lead design from Feasibility to Construction, guiding consultants to ensure alignment with design intent and technical requirements.
• Review construction documents to maintain quality, consistency, and constructability.
