Job summary

VAA is seeking a Senior Architect for a Hybrid/Remote role in Minneapolis, MN to design infrastructure, oversee multidisciplinary projects, and drive value for clients in manufacturing, distribution, and industrial sectors.

You will lead proposals, manage budgets, coordinate teams, mentor staff, ensure QA/QC, and maintain client relationships while advancing professional development and community initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited School of Architecture.
• Licensed Architect, NCARB certified with 10+ years of experience.
• 8+ years in Project Management.
• 5+ years interacting with clients.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and execute proposals/contracts.
• Manage project budgets and additional-services requests.
• Understand and manage client expectations to meet scope.
• Schedule project team and assign tasks across disciplines.
• Provide weekly input on personnel scheduling.
• Keep Discipline Lead informed of progress and challenges.
• Prepare and certify specifications, drawings and reports.
• Perform QA/QC to ensure project criteria are met.
• Oversee construction site observations.
• Supervise and mentor architects and staff.
