Job summary

BDH is seeking a position to plan and design interiors for diverse building types in Minneapolis. The designer will support senior staff with development of design solutions, drafting, materials research, and specifications.

The role includes site surveys, coordination with clients, and participation in presentations, with a focus on practical, compliant, and aesthetically pleasing outcomes. Hybrid schedule with up to 50% remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• A 4-year Interior Design bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• 0-5 years interior design experience.
• Proficient with Revit, MS Office, and rendering software.
• Knowledge of BOMA standards and square footage calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assembles interior design solutions and schemes.
• Interacts with clients on design projects.
• Contributes to multiple projects under senior staff direction.
• Interprets programmatic information and creates space plans.
• Assists in planning, design and furnishing of interiors.
• Develops practical, aesthetically pleasing designs for spaces.
• Participates in client meetings and presentations.
• Coordinates pricing and procurement through furniture dealers.
• Reviews shop drawings and finish submittals under senior staff guidance.
• Pursues continuing education and professional development.
• Participates in marketing events as directed by senior staff.
