CobbFendley seeks an experienced Senior Designer for its The Woodlands or Houston, Texas office. The role focuses on independent design tasks, plan development, and coordinating with Project Managers to deliver constructible plans. The candidate should bring 10+ years of design experience and strong proficiency in CAD tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design experience.
• Knowledge of engineering design principles, applicable codes and standards, and established design practices for planning and development of projects.
• Skills in using engineering design and drafting software to develop, modify, and coordinate engineering designs, drawings, and technical deliverables.
• Ability to analyze data, apply design criteria, and use standard office and engineering software to produce design documentation and support project completion.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute design tasks for moderately complex projects, supporting Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Utilize engineering and drafting software to develop, refine, and coordinate plan, profile, cross-section, and utility drawings.
• Interpret survey data, utility records, specifications, and engineering plans to develop accurate design base files.
• Translate engineering concepts and direction into coordinated and constructable plan sets.
• Incorporate and manage redlines and review comments with minimal rework.
• Perform design calculations, including grading, drainage.

Advanced // Solid understanding and substantial experience; works independently and efficiently. 10+ years of design experience.

• Knowledge of engineering design principles, applicable codes and standards, and established design practices used in the planning and development of projects.
