Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Designer in the Land Development Division to support our Data Center group.

The Senior Designer will lead grading, drainage, and utilities design for complex projects and coordinate with internal disciplines and sub-consultants. Candidates should bring several years of CAD drafting experience, strong knowledge of codes, and the ability to prepare complete civil construction documents and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of designer experience; CAD drafting experience emphasized
• Grading, drainage and utility design knowledge required
• Ability to coordinate with in-house disciplines and sub-consultants
• Prepare and review plan documents and design calculations
• Understand local and agency standards and codes
• Estimate man-hours for tasks and maintain CAD drawings

Responsibilities

• Prepare grading designs, plans and profiles for roadways and utilities
• Create complete civil construction documents and plan sets
• Review jurisdictional code requirements and implement in design
• Provide QA/QC for design work product
• Assist in submittals, coordination and meeting deadlines
• Maintain open communication with Project Manager and design team
