Job summary

HutkerArchitects is seeking a Senior Designer to join our design-led residential practice in Massachusetts. You will work closely with Principals and Associates to contribute from concept through construction, building lasting client relationships and mentoring emerging designers.

Ideal candidates have 8-10+ years of experience in custom residential design, strong technical knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. Licensure is preferred or actively pursued.

Qualifications

• Strong design leadership and client communication skills.
• Ability to mentor junior designers and lead design reviews.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience collaborating with principals and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of custom residential project development from permitting through construction administration.
• Develop thoughtful design solutions and technical documentation carrying design intent.
• Serve as a key contact for clients, consultants, contractors and project teams.
• Coordinate schedules, documentation, and construction administration activities.
• Develop schematic designs, presentation materials, and material selections aligned with the design vision.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
