This role offers a minimum base pay from $16.78 per hour, with higher starting pay based on experience.

Purpose

Floor & Decor Sr. Designer leads our design team, providing seamless start-to-finish consultative design services that foster lasting relationships and brand loyalty. Responsibilities include meeting with customers, understanding their project needs, educating them, and creating design concepts that reflect their style, lifestyle, and budget.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience in lieu of formal education
• Combination of education and experience totaling 6 years
• Prior retail/sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Internal candidates must have 24 months of experience in a Floor & Decor Designer role

Essential Functions

• Build and maintain relationships with residential and professional customers
• Greet customers and support design needs
• Schedule appointments, develop clientele through networking and referrals
• Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell functional, aesthetic solutions
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timely communication
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects and achieve sales goals
• Support company initiatives and model best practices
• Stay current with design trends
• Utilize design applications like Salesforce and MyProject
• Participate in professional affiliations such as ASID, NKBA
• Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Limited travel by car may be required
• Frequent exposure to warehouse environment and moving vehicles; moderate to noisy noise levels

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Medium work involving exerting 20-50 pounds, frequent use of hands and fingers, and occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, or crouching.

Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pickup Hours

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
