Base Pay
This role has a minimum base pay from $15.24 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.

Purpose
Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. Responsibilities include meeting with customers, understanding their project needs, educating them, and creating design concepts that reflect their style, lifestyle, and budget.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of interior design or retail/sales experience
• Design degree is a plus
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic math skills
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience as a design consultant

Essential Functions

• Greet customers and support store design needs
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals
• Advise customers on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell functional and aesthetic solutions
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timely communication
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Support company initiatives and stay updated on design trends
• Utilize design applications like Salesforce, MyProject, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Limited travel by car may be required
• Exposure to warehouse environment and noise levels are moderate to noisy

Physical Requirements

Medium work; ability to exert 20-50 pounds occasionally, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and mobility.

Store Hours

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
