Job summary

Amplify is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer on its Product Brand team to define and implement the next-generation Design System. You will shape technical foundations, establish engineering standards, and partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to drive alignment across multiple products and platforms.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will mentor engineers, advance scalable frontend architecture, and explore AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant work experience in frontend engineering or design systems.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and influence stakeholders.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and design systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the technical foundations of Amplify’s next‑gen Design System.
• Collaborate with Design, Product, and Engineering leads to align technical strategy across teams.
• Lead cross‑team technical discussions and drive Design System adoption without direct reporting authority.
• Mentor engineers and provide code review support to implementing Design System standards.
• Develop and maintain design system infrastructure, including documentation and release workflows.
• Explore and implement AI‑assisted development workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
