Job summary

Goken is seeking a Senior DRE (design release engineer) to drive design from concept to production for vehicle system components and subsystems. You will partner with design, validation, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure quality and timely launches.

The role requires extensive chassis development experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple locations. Travel may be involved as part of global program execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 10+ years of chassis product development experience.
• Specialties: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
• 10+ years in chassis product development.
• 3+ years developing suspension arms and related parts.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience with DFMEA and GD&T.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and drawing creation/modification in CATIA V5/V6.
• Ability to work independently and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Design and release the assigned vehicle system components and assemblies from concept to production.
• Develop and mature components from concept through production.
• Establish and achieve targets for cost, investment, weight, performance, and quality.
• Coordinate engineering designs with purchasing, suppliers, testing, manufacturing and other subsystems.
• Responsible for quality of components and 3D CAD drawings.
• Work with suppliers to create specifications and requirements.
• Provide technical support and system analysis for root cause analysis of development issues.
• Coordinate, lead and participate in design reviews.
• Implement cost reduction methods and product improvements during prototype and production builds.
• Remain up-to-date on new technology and products.
• Travel as required.
