Job summary

Waev Inc. in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Senior Design Release Engineer to lead the design, development, and release of mechanical components across Waev's GEM and Taylor‑Dunn platforms, with a fast‑paced environment.

This role requires ownership from concept through production, applying CAD and product development expertise to prototype components, manage BOMs and drawings, and support validation and testing.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience in building engineering prototypes.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Autodesk Inventor CAD Design experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and prototype new components for LSVs (Low Speed Vehicles) and industrial electric vehicles.
• Design of mechanical components, including structural frames, exterior and interior parts for existing and new generations of LSVs and Industrial electric vehicles
• Release mechanical components into the prototyping and production process
• Develop, manage and maintain BOMs, drawings, and engineering specifications
• Develop and manage all documentation of the requirements, designs and validation report.
• Support all engineering validation work to include testing of all systems used in electrical vehicles
• Release high quality automotive drawings, components and systems
• Provide analysis and troubleshooting of the vehicles throughout the development process
• Provide technical guidance to the engineering teams, technicians and manufacturing workers
• Follow all company processes
