Job summary

Waev, Inc. is an electric mobility OEM based in Anaheim, CA. The Entry Level Electric Vehicle Engineer will design and release mechanical components for LSVs and industrial EVs in the WAEV portfolio, including GEM and Taylor-Dunn lines.

The role supports CAD design, prototype development, and documentation in a fast-paced team. Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree, have hands-on prototyping experience, and possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience building engineering prototypes.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• CAD design experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and prototype new components for LSVs and industrial electric vehicles.
• Design mechanical components, including frames and exterior/interior parts for existing and new generations.
• Release mechanical components into prototyping and production processes.
• Develop, manage and maintain BOMs, drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Document requirements, designs and validation reports.
• Support engineering validation including testing of systems in electric vehicles.
• Release high quality automotive drawings, components and systems.
• Provide analysis and troubleshooting across development stages.
• Offer technical guidance to engineering teams and manufacturing workers.
• Follow all company processes.
