Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in building engineering prototypes.

• Autodesk Inventor CAD Design experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and prototype new components for LSVs and industrial electric vehicles.
• Design of mechanical components, including frames and exterior/interior parts for LSVs and industrial EVs.
• Release mechanical components into prototyping and production processes.
• Develop and manage BOMs, drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Maintain documentation of requirements, designs and validation reports.
• Support engineering validation and testing of vehicle systems.
• Release high quality automotive drawings, components and systems.
• Provide analysis and troubleshooting throughout development.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, technicians and manufacturing workers.
• Follow all company processes.

GEMs shuttle people and goods across city centers, residential communities, government campuses, colleges and universities, and other micro-environments. Job Summary

The Senior Design Release Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and release of mechanical components across Waev's low-speed and industrial electric vehicle portfolio, including GEM and Taylor-Dunn platforms.

This role plays a key part in bringing new products to market and improving existing platforms, with ownership spanning concept through production. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong technical expertise in mechanical design, CAD, and product development.

Essential Duties & Responsiblities

• Research, develop and prototype new components for LSVs (Low Speed Vehicles) and industrial electric vehicles.
• Design of mechanical components, including structural frames, exterior and interior parts for existing and new generations of LSVs and Industrial electric vehicles
• Release mechanical components into the prototyping and production process
• Develop, manage and maintain BOMs, drawings, and engineering specifications
• Develop and manage all documentation of the requirements, designs and validation report.
• Support all engineering validation work to include testing of all systems used in electrical vehicles
• Release high quality automotive drawings, components and systems
• Provide analysis and troubleshooting of the vehicles throughout the development process
• Provide technical guidance to the engineering teams, technicians and manufacturing workers
• Follow all company processes

Education And Experience

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Hands-on experience in building engineering prototypes
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
• Autodesk Inventor CAD Design experience

Knowlege, Skills And Abilities

• Vehicle development or relevant experiences preferred
