Job summary

TOOGANN TECHNOLOGIES seeks a Design Release Engineer for Body Structures in Troy, MI to shape vehicle design through the integration of body systems and assemblies for both body and platform areas. Develop objectives to meet project targets; manage body component development including performance, cost, mass, timing and manufacturability.

Lead collaborations with teams and suppliers, utilize Catia V5, and ensure NHSTA/FMVSS compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 8+ years of vehicle design experience in the areas of Body, Door, Platform.
• Excellent communication and team building skills.
• Ability to lead design teams through integration of related sub-systems into body structure.
• Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to body structure.
• Knowledge of Catia V5 and other design tools to guide designers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
• Manage all aspects of body component development to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc.
• Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements.
