Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Design Project Manager to work with our Data Center team, supporting designs for new and existing construction builds. The role requires an architectural background and experience in Design/Architecture/Civil works.

The project involves coordinating with owners/clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-level client service across all phases of design and construction. On-site presence may be required depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in construction project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and reports to the assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director.
• Coordinate to schedule meetings with the project team.
• Communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
• Manage external design consultants through the design and construction process.
• Assist in maintaining information in project management software.

The Design Project Manager should have an architectural background in theconstructionindustry and be experienced in Design/Architecture/Civil works.

Job Description:

• Provides support and reports to the assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director. Position has frequent interaction with the Owner/Client, consultants, designprofessionalsandcontractors.
• Directlyassistthe Project Manager(s) in managing,coordinatingand administering the project through all phases of design andconstruction.
• Responsible for ensuring all aspects of client services are delivered at the highest level to ensure the client’s needs are addressed.
• Aids in the preparation of documents (reports,schedules, invoices,RFI’s,submittals, meeting minutes/agendas, daily reports,changeorders, inspections,closeoutand client presentations) forprogramming, design andconstructionand willassistinmaintaininginformation in project management software.
• Coordinate toschedulemeetings with the project team as directed by the Project Manager(s).
• Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintainproject documentation before, during, and afterconstruction.
• Maintenance of Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for architectural elements.
• Review and informdesignRFPs.
• Manage our external design consultants through the design andconstructionprocess.
• Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
• Manage multiplefast pacedprojects simultaneously.
• Think outside of the box to find innovative solutions prior to and during theconstructionprocess to reducecostswithout negative impacts on quality or reliability.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
• 8+ years of experience in constructionproject coordination (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree)
• Administration,ConstructionManagement, Engineering, Architecture.
• Experience andworkingin Project Management on large-scaleconstructionprograms.
• Experienced in Design/Architecture/Civil works.
• Solid workingproficiencywith AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to be highly effective in aclient facingrole.
• Team player; ability to work collaboratively.
