Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Georgia is seeking a Senior Consultant, Design Project Manager to join our team and partner with clients on new and existing construction projects. You will support design and construction processes, coordinate with owners, consultants, and contractors, and help manage design deliverables.

The role requires architectural background, experience in design/architecture/civil works, and strong communication, presentation, and site coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar.
• Experience in Project Management on large-scale construction programs.
• Experience in Design/Architecture/Civil works.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent presentation and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and reports to Project Manager(s) or Project Director; interact with Owner/Client, consultants, design professionals and contractors.
• Assist in managing, coordinating and administering the project through all design and construction phases.
• Ensure client services are delivered at the highest level to address client needs.
• Prepare documents (reports, schedules, invoices, RFIs, submittals, minutes, daily reports, change orders, inspections, closeout) for programming and design; maintain project data in PM software.
• Coordinate meetings with the project team as directed by Project Manager(s).
• Communicate conceptual designs and maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.

The Senior Consult, Design Project Manager should have an architectural background in the construction industry and be experienced in Design/Architecture/Civil works.

Job Description

• Provides support and reports to the assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director. Position has frequent interaction with the Owner/Client, consultants, design professionals and contractors.
• Directly assist the Project Manager(s) in managing, coordinating and administering the project through all phases of design and construction.
• Responsible for ensuring all aspects of client services are delivered at the highest level to ensure the client’s needs are addressed.
• Aids in the preparation of documents (reports, schedules, invoices, RFI’s, submittals, meeting minutes/agendas, daily reports, change orders, inspections, closeout and client presentations) for programming, design and construction and will assist in maintaining information in project management software.
• Coordinate to schedule meetings with the project team as directed by the Project Manager(s).
• Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
• Maintenance of Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for architectural elements.
• Review and inform design RFPs.
• Manage our external design consultants through the design and construction process.
• Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
• Manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously.
• Think outside of the box to find innovative solutions prior to and during the construction process to reduce costs without negative impacts on quality or reliability.

• College Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture.
• Experience and working in Project Management on large-scale construction programs.
• Experienced in Design/Architecture/Civil works.
• Solid working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.
• Team player; ability to work collaboratively.
• On site requirements might change based on client needs
