Job summary

Gensler Design Manager in Houston leads a variety of project types through all phases, serving as the main client contact and mentoring junior staff to ensure design excellence and client satisfaction.

The role requires 15+ years in interior design/architecture, a Registered Interior Designer, and strong leadership, planning, and Revit proficiency. This in‑person position is located in the Houston, TX area. A current portfolio is requested with applications.

Qualifications

• Design Management and Project Management experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 15+ years of experience.
• Registered Interior Designer required.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of all phases of interior design/architectural projects.
• Proven ability to provide excellent client service and account leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a variety of project types and sizes through all phases.
• Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team.
• Manage project delivery on time and on budget.
• Maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
• Review and manage project documents, proposals, and contracts.
• Coordinate with consultants across disciplines.
