Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Design Program Manager, E-Commerce in Seattle to lead design and program management across E-Commerce workstreams for the retail grocery store network. You will own end-to-end design coordination, track deliverables, and ensure on-time launches with cross-functional partners.

The ideal candidate combines design rigor with program management discipline and can scale design systems for a high-volume portfolio in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of design experience.
• Have an available online portfolio.
• Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions.
• Experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous business improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the full portfolio of E-Commerce design workstreams, serving as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for business owners.
• Produce design deliverables independently while managing the output of others to meet strict launch deadlines.
• Track and report on the status of all active workstreams, identifying risks, dependencies, and blockers to leadership.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Construction, Procurement, Real Estate, Topology Planning, and senior leadership to align design solutions with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain design standards, templates, and best practices for E-Commerce integration across the grocery store network.
• Manage the design process end-to-end, interfacing with internal and external design partners.
• Adapt site-specific conditions, metrics, and standards to store designs while balancing costs and customer experience.
• Build data-driven scopes of work with internal stakeholders for enabling E-Commerce operations.
• Create design packages to communicate design intent and program status with cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Drive Schematic Design and Design Development packages through all phases of design, permitting, and construction administration.
• Coordinate with Construction, Procurement, and Operations on budget, schedule, and value engineering.
• Manage consultants and external partners throughout all project phases.
• Provide Construction Administration support as needed, including review of submittals and shop drawings.
• Develop mechanisms to improve efficiency and scale E-Commerce design delivery across the network.
