Job summary

Edward Jones is seeking a Design Operations leader to drive AI-enabled workflows and enterprise design capabilities from the Tempe, AZ area. You will orchestrate the AI transformation, govern design systems, and lead staffing and vendor management across multiple teams to deliver portfolio outcomes.

You will advance maturity in design practices, govern accessibility, and partner with senior leaders to align strategy with execution in a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• 5+ years in design/operations, 4+ years in leadership.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale programs from strategy to execution.
• Ability to lead multiple teams and develop leaders.
• Experience in operations strategy and resource planning.
• Experience governing design systems and tooling at scale, incl. AI tools.
• Experience leading digital accessibility programs and standards.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence; matrixed environment.
• Ability to define operational metrics and build dashboards (Clarity, Jira, Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with AI-enabled design workflows and PDLC environments.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate AI transformation of Enterprise Design and integration with senior leadership strategy.
• Govern design systems, tooling ecosystem, and Experience Design quality standards in AI PDLC.
• Advance design capability maturity with a formal maturity model.
• Lead staffing, workforce planning, and vendor management across FTE, contract, and agency resources.
• Centralize and govern digital accessibility standards and manage specialists.
• Serve as senior Design Operations leader partnering with Sr. Director, driving planning and alignment.
• Grow design culture, communities of practice, and knowledge sharing firmwide.
• Define and track operational metrics and use data for continuous improvement.
