Kitchell is seeking a Senior Design Manager to join our Central California region, based in San Luis Obispo, CA. You will lead design management and project development as an Owner’s Representative on a major justice project, with relocation assistance considered.

The role requires 12 years of experience in project/construction management, DBIA Design-Build experience preferred, and full proficiency with MS Project. Travel within the region may be required; DBA certifications are a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is required.
• 12 years of related work experience in project/construction management or administration is required.
• DBIA Design-Build experience or certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and coordinate pre-construction activities for a new design-build courthouse.
• Act as Owner’s Representative with direct client-facing responsibilities.
• Develop and monitor preconstruction schedules and budgets to align with goals and fiscal constraints.
• Identify and mitigate design risks including schedule delays, permitting hurdles, and budget overruns.
• Ensure design supports sustainability goals, ADA accessibility, and DSA/code compliance.
• Provide leadership and management support to the project team.
