Job summary

Procon Consulting, LLC seeks an experienced Design Manager to support a federal facilities management team, coordinating design activities across multiple projects and serving as the liaison between project stakeholders, A/E firms, and project management.

The role requires regular onsite work in active construction environments, ensuring design development, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards throughout the design process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in design management or related environment.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams (architectural, structural, mechanical/HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls).
• Experience coordinating with A/E firms, managing design submissions, stakeholder reviews, and comment resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate design activities across multiple facility projects with varying size and complexity.
• Develop and document project design requirements with stakeholders.
• Serve as primary coordination point with A/E firms through the design process.
• Coordinate design submissions, distribute packages, consolidate comments, and track resolutions.
• Monitor design progress, identify risks and issues, prepare monthly status reports.
• Support design to construction transition and procurement planning.
