Job summary

Procon Consulting, LLC in Arlington, VA seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to provide on-site construction management support for the FDIC design-build project. The role oversees scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety, coordinating with CORs and A/E s to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include leading weekly progress meetings, reviewing pay applications, managing RFIs, and supporting commissioning, inspections, and closeout, with a focus on federal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in construction or facilities capital program management.
• Experience managing scope, budgets, schedules, and costs across multiple projects.
• Proficiency with MS Project and/or Primavera scheduling software.
• Experience developing project cost estimates and monitoring expenditures.
• Strong written and verbal communication with government representatives (CORs/TMs).
• Familiarity with federal contracting procedures and government deliverable review processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for day-to-day execution, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Lead and document weekly progress meetings with stakeholders and contractors.
• Review payment applications, monitor costs and earned value, provide recommendations.
• Review change orders and prepare Independent Government Estimates (IGEs).
• Manage RFIs, submittals, logs, and coordination with the Architect/Engineer (A/E).
• Support QA inspections, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage contractor schedules, baselines, updates, and recovery schedules; identify delays and noncompliance.
• Support commissioning, inspections, testing, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Provide technical support for claims, modifications, RFPs, SOWs, cost estimates, and contract negotiations.
