Job summary

ENGICON CM is a construction management company seeking a Design Manager to lead design coordination for campus projects in California. You will act as the main interface between the CPT and design consultants, guiding planning through DSA certification and every key milestone to ensure compliance with codes, district standards, budgets, and schedules.

You will perform QAQC reviews of plans, specs, and schedules, manage timely production and sign-off of design deliverables, and oversee responses

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in design and/or design management.
• 5 years of the foregoing 10 years of experience must be with projects requiring DSA or OSHPD Certification.
• BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between CPT and Design Consultants and Specialty Consultants across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate from planning to close-out and DSA certification, ensuring compliance with codes and district standards.
• QAQC review of plans, specifications, cut sheets, schedules and other design documents.
• Manage timely production, review and sign-off of design deliverables.
• Review CCDs during construction and guide the Design Team through DSA review processes.
