Job summary

ENGICON CM in Los Angeles seeks a Design Manager II to lead design coordination for campus projects, ensuring DSA/OSHPD compliance, planning, review and sign-off of design deliverables, and guiding consultants and stakeholders through key milestones. You will QA/QC design deliverables, review CCDs during construction, and manage timely sign-off of plans and submittals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in design and/or design management.
• 3 years of the foregoing 7 years of experience must be with projects requiring DSA or OSHPD Certification.
• BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• QA/QC review of plans, specifications, cut sheets, schedules and other design documents for quality, constructability, coordination and clarity.
• Coordinate and manage the design process from planning to close-out and DSA certification.
• Review DSA construction change directives (CCDs) for completeness and compliance with design intent and guide the Design Team through the DSA review process.
• Manage sign-off of design deliverables and submittals across milestones with District stakeholders.
