Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a senior design leader to elevate design excellence across our office network. You will be a senior member of the office leadership and a voice for design culture, strategy and mentorship.

You will lead visioning, client storytelling, and collaboration with technical leaders to deliver holistic, sustainable design solutions. Expect to inspire teams, pursue high-profile work, and contribute to the firm’s Living-Centered Design philosophy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture; Master's preferred.
• Current US Architectural Registration preferred.
• 18+ years of experience in related roles, with at least 5 years leading others in a design studio.
• LEED accreditation or equivalent is preferred.
• Nationally recognized design portfolio and design awards/press recognition are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design excellence and overall design quality across projects, with emphasis on early phase development.
• Create innovative concepts that synthesize client culture, goals and societal needs.
• Direct client presentations and storytelling to convey design goals and value.
• Collaborate with technical leaders to deliver holistic design solutions across all phases.
• Integrate performance-based and sustainable design strategies, advancing Living-Centered Design.
• Contribute to firm growth by pursuing high-profile work and publishing projects.
