Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy, a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is seeking a Senior Project Design Lead in the United States to mentor design leads from Preliminary/30% through IFC drawings for utility-scale solar PV facilities. The role emphasizes reliable, high-quality, and safe design while maintaining Engineers of Record relationships and supporting subcontracting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years design/process management experience.
• Experience in utility-scale solar PV projects or renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to other project design leads/Associate design leads as directed by manager.
• Train associate design leads under manager's plan.
• Attend design reviews and provide comments/feedback on engineering deliverables.
• Support EOR contract creation and review by facilitating review between the engineer of record and internal team.
• Support EPC contract and scope review by reviewing and suggesting changes to prime contracts and exhibits.
• Forecast internal needs based on project pipeline and assign projects accordingly.
• Develop standards and processes to streamline project design lead tasks.
• Lead or track new process initiatives with project design leads and internal team members.
• Sometimes act as the main design lead for projects.
• Ensure designs consider installation means and long-term operations and maintenance.
• Promote client relations with Engineers of Record and subcontractors.
