Job summary

A consulting engineering firm based in Pasadena, California is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the engineering and design of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects. The successful candidate will have 7–12 years of experience in power systems and renewable integration, and will be responsible for delivering complete designs from early development through to detailed engineering and construction support. This role also includes mentoring junior engineers and ensuring compliance with utility standards.

Qualifications

• 7–12+ years of relevant experience in power systems, renewables, or energy storage.
• Demonstrated experience in utility-scale BESS or solar + storage projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design of utility-scale BESS projects.
• Support interconnection processes and utility coordination.
• Prepare engineering packages, drawings, and technical reports.
