E2 Consulting Engineers, LP in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead engineering and design of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, delivering complete designs from development through construction support.

You will oversee power systems, interconnection work, and multi‑discipline coordination, mentor junior staff, and interface with clients to develop technical scope and estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–12+ years of experience in power systems, renewables, or energy storage.
• PE license required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and design of utility-scale BESS projects (10 MW to 500+ MW).
• Develop and review design deliverables: one-line diagrams, layouts, and specs.
• Define system architecture: DC- vs AC-coupled configurations.
• Coordinate interconnection processes and utility coordination.
• Review studies: load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, harmonic analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and support internal standards.
