Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Utah to lead the design and documentation of low- and medium-voltage switchgear and power distribution systems. You will mentor engineers, guide protection schemes, and ensure adherence to industry standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Qualifications

Demonstrated advanced technical expertise in switchgear and power distribution design.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
Independently manage complex projects with minimal oversight.
Evaluate technical alternatives and make sound engineering decisions.
Communicate technical concepts effectively to customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of complex electrical switchgear systems including diagrams and control circuits.
Specify electrical components and advise on coordination and compliance.
Create and revise engineering drawings using CAD software.
Ensure designs meet IEC, ANSI, UL, IEEE and other standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in customer reviews.
Support manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and post-shipment activities.
