Job summary

ACCO MHS in Attalla, AL, is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to design and model overhead crane systems and patented track configurations. The role requires validating designs with engineering calculations while meeting industry standards.

You will collaborate with other design and manufacturing engineers to enhance safety and productivity, and support manufacturing improvements through accurate CAD documentation and BOM interpretation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years' experience in design of overhead cranes or heavy fabrication.
• Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Experience in a manufacturing or welding environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Able to read and understand a Bill of Materials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare order design and generate CAD drawings, 3D Models and other documents for manufacturing and assembly.
• Design and model crane systems that are safe, efficient, and compliant with standards.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers to improve safety and production efficiency.
• Produce approval drawings for customer orders within deadlines.
• Communicate with on-site team and identify parts or equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and support overtime as required.
