Heil Environmental in Fort Payne, AL seeks an experienced Overhead Crane Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain cranes and lifting devices. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe, uninterrupted operations.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 5 years in industrial maintenance, with experience reading blueprints and using CMMS tools such as Leading2Lean, JDE, and MS Outlook.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED.
• 5 years minimum experience in Industrial Maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on overhead cranes and hoists.
• Diagnose and repair problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Install cranes and hoists to specifications.
• Conduct safety inspections and tests to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs.
• Provide emergency repairs quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain service records of all maintenance and repair tasks.
• Lead all crane related projects to ensure deadlines and production is not interrupted.
• As needed, assist maintenance technicians when trouble calls arise that are preventing production from operating.
