Job summary

DeSHAZO, LLC in Alabaster, AL, is seeking an Assembly Operations Supervisor to lead assembly, inventory and production for custom overhead crane systems. You will ensure safe, efficient manufacturing and partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, can read engineering drawings, and either manufacturing leadership experience or the technical foundation to grow into the role. On-site with a robust benefits program.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly prints, shop manuals, and BOMs.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing and assembly operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements.
• Lead and develop production employees through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Manage labor utilization and inventory to meet operational budgets and production goals.
• Develop, monitor, and present KPIs to leadership.
• Coordinate production schedules, staffing, and material availability.
• Partner with Engineering to resolve manufacturing and assembly challenges.
• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions to ensure production readiness.
• Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues and implement process improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focusing on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and material flow throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations.
