Job summary

Relay is a digital banking platform driving clarity and control for small businesses. We’re hiring two Design Engineers who own the front-end, shape Telegraph, and elevate craft with accessible, high-quality interfaces.

You will embed with product teams to deliver features from concept to launch, evolve the design system, and ensure fast, accessible experiences. A hybrid Boston role emphasizes collaboration and craft.

Qualifications

• Strong React and TypeScript experience in engineering environments.
• Experience building and evolving design systems.
• Focus on accessibility and performance by default.
• Portfolio or GitHub showing craft and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own front-end quality across the product and reduce UI/UX debt.
• Lead UI implementation for new features with product teams.
• Develop Telegraph design system, APIs, and docs.
• Champion accessibility and performance as core requirements.
• Collaborate with designers to iterate concepts and bridge design–code gap.
• Create reusable components and documentation to reduce drift.
• Build tooling for AI-accelerated product development.
