Job summary

Harmony is hiring a Design Engineer in a remote US role with strong overlap on Eastern hours. You will own the design language, tokens, and components, and ship frontend changes end-to-end using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

The role blends design and coding to prototype, test with users, and deliver continuous improvements. The ideal candidate design-system experience, strong UX judgment, and ability to work with product and engineering in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Own Harmony's design system: visual language, components, tokens, patterns, and documentation.
• Build skills, agents, and processes that speed up design delivery.
• Work with product and engineering to research, design, and ship next features.
• Notice issues in the product and design fixes accordingly.
• Prototype quickly, test with users, and iterate based on learnings.
• Translate complex processes into simple, calm experiences.
• Contribute to product thinking and design reviews.
• Support the team across various tasks as needed.
