Job summary

Textron Systems' Lycoming Engines unit is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Williamsport, PA. You will manage engine/component designs from layout to final drawings, create BOMs/ECOs, and guide drafting teams while coordinating with suppliers and customers on technical specifications.

Responsibilities include developing new design concepts, performing mechanical analysis, and ensuring timely project execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with 3–5 years’ work experience.
• Master’s Degree with 2 years work experience desirable.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T drafting standards.
• Design/drafting experience with 3D CAD solids-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments related to new product development or enhancements.
• Create and develop design concepts from layout through final drawings.
• Support analysis of mechanical designs (FEA, static, dynamic).
• Provide guidance to drafting/CAD operators and interface with manufacturing.
• Coordinate program schedules and review results of projects.
• Interface with suppliers/customers on designs and specifications.
