Job summary

Lycoming Engines, part of Textron Systems, seeks a Sr Design Engineer in Williamsport, PA to drive engine/component design from layout to final drawings. You will create BOMs and ECOs, provide guidance to CAD operators, and coordinate with suppliers and customers on specifications.

Requires 3–5 years engineering experience, strong 3D CAD and FEA capabilities, and knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Travel up to 25% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years’ work experience
• Master's degree with 2+ years work experience desirable
• Six Sigma knowledge is desirable

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments for new product development and/or enhancements
• Create and develop design concepts from layout through final drawings
• Conduct and support analysis of mechanical designs (FEA, static, dynamic)
• Guide drafting/CAD operators and coordinate with internal teams
• Interface with suppliers/customers on designs and specifications
• Establish and execute program schedules and review results
